Sci-fi concepts
Battlestar Galactica, concepts: I loved the original 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica, I was thirteen years old when it first aired and I made it a point to never miss an episode.
Even back then I used to think of my own idea's for episodes and even do concept drawings based on those ideas. Then when ABC cancelled the show, I went even further with my ideas and concepts, this time though it became what I would do if Battlestar Galactica could return.
As time went on and I grew older, I always sort held on to this, except the premise changed. Instead of a continuation, I started to re-imagine or re-think the original show.
I've been working, on it ever since! Writing and re-writing the storyline, imagining scenes and creating concept art. It's something that has always been sort of a personal escape for me, kind of a secret dream .. like the novel that some of us dream about writing ... most of the story is locked up in my head in great detail!
I suppose this is why I was never a fan of the re-imaged Sci-fi channel Battlestar Galactica. For me, it never lived up to my own imagination.
